Rules:

  • Open to LBV Association members and guests with members.

  • Registered contestants only, must be present to win.

  • Boat captains are responsible for registering all anglers on their watercraft.

  • Pre-registration is required through this site and opens two weeks prior to the event (mid-May).

  • Fishing allowed from docks, shore, and watercraft.

  • We will fish rain or shine and delay for thunder or lightning.

  • ALL STATE LAWS AND LOCAL ORDINANCES APPLY.

  • LBV WATERCRAFT ONLY.

  • NO EARLY OR PRE-FISHING. ARTIFICIAL BAIT ONLY.

  • In Michigan, under 17 fish for free.

  • One-day and seasonal licenses are available at https://mdnr-elicense.com

Note: to minimize the impact on our lake, we encourage catch and release. Longest Bass and Longest Pike Contests will allow for almost immediate release of the fish and eliminate the need for live-wells. Please weigh your big fish if you have a scale but know this is just for bragging rights.
